A Kenyan who was aspiring to immigrate to Canada through the student visa option has shared how she got refused and received a ban from the government of Canada.
The Kenyan shared that she got banned from Canada for using an agent in Nairobi and who submitted a fake bank statement to support the application. Kenya has no immigration consultants or lawyers who are licensed by the Canadian government.
Here is what the Kenyan who has been banned from Canada for five years shared:
“In July, 2023; I applied for a student visa using fake bank statements. I had been misadvised by the agent that the Embassy would not know. I did the biometrics and later called for an oral interview.
In the oral interview, I accepted responsibility for all the documents uploaded in the application (I could not drag the agent into the mess). A month later, I received a decision: refusal and a 5 year ban.
I quit my bank job in Kenya to go to Canada; now am homeless in streets
Now, my question is: can a visa ban be appealed? If yes, how can I move from here? This week, a University in UK declined my admission based on this discosure (the information was required in the course application).
Definitely, the ban is impacting negatively on my quest to immigrate. Any contacts of a good immigration lawyers in Kenya, assuming the ban can be lifted?”
In response to her question, a Kenya who identified as Sandra commented;
“I had a same scenario back in 2016 .. I got admision to Regina (Saskatchewan) .. all my documents were straight from canada
Some agent sent a fraud bank statement without my knowledge n I received a ban letter instead of a visa approval after 3months of waiting . Was I shocked??!! YES AND DEVASTATED.
Don’t fight the embassy… they have enough evidence of ur fraud… it will just bring too much issues n don’t apply any visa to the states they run the background and ul come red on canada.
Apply any European country and you will be good. Once the ban is lifted just reapply n this time do it urself. Two years later applied states got the visa and was then revoked a day before it came out because they called me in for a second interview.
They had run my data and was told my visa cannot be processed because I don’t have enough evidence that I would come back. I relocated years later to Europe. All the best and be careful with agents; they can mess you up!!!
Apply for visa by yourself; it’s not hard at all and keep in my mind they don’t take fraud easy. Trustworthiness is the number one rule. You will be fighting a losing battle. Save urself the energy and premium tears.”
Another Kenyan who identified as Zawadi commented;
“I would advise she don’t apply for European visa because there is a question of any applied visa which was denied, if she say no and later they find out it will give her another denial or even European visa ban.
The World is very advanced technology has made it very easy individuals information to be shared easily across the Globe.”
