Bashir Mohamed Postmortem: A postmortem on the body of slain businessman Bashir Mohamed has revealed the brutal manner in which he was murdered.
The postmortem which was conducted on Monday at the Umash Funeral Home has shown that the businessman was strangled and tortured.
It was conducted by Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor. The 36-year-old Somali-American’s body also showed signs of torture, including multiple blunt object hits on the head and burn wounds on his body.

The autopsy report showed that the burn wounds were round suggesting they were inflicted using a car lighter. There were also torture signs in the legs and toes. His toenails were also plucked out.
The postmortem however did not detail the bullet wounds that were earlier reported after his body was discovered in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County.

Bashir’s lawyers claim there were suspicious activities at the Mialle Lounge where the structural engineer and Director of Infinity Development Limited was last seen.
“You realize in various instances there are a couple of people who are triangulating and they were on mobile telephones and conversations are ongoing and everyone looks quite jittery it looks as though they are watching out waiting for something to happen,” Alibaya Hassan, the businessman’s lawyer said.
