Best schools: The 2018 KCPE results were released on Monday with the top two performers scoring 453 marks out of the possible 500 points.
Here, we have compiled a list of some of the best schools in this year’s KCPE:
1). Ikombe Primary School in Yatta, Machakos CountyÂ, emerged the top school in the country. The public school with 95 candidates posted a mean score of 418 marks.
2). At Riara, a private school in Nairobi, 76 out of 168 candidates scored above 400 marks to give the school a mean score of 386.9.
3). Riara Primary produced the joint top exam leader Olive Wachira Mwea with 453 marks.
4). Kakamega Hill produced the joint top leader Rawlings Odhiambo with 453 marks.
5). Petroc Academy. It produced the highest number of pupils with over 400 marks.
6). Moi Primary School Kabarak in Nakuru County produced the second best candidate, Asanga Leonard Munayi,  who scored 451 marks.
At the coast region, top schools included:
1). Memon Academy.
2). Aga Khan Primary.
3). Nyali Primary School.
4). Mtwapa Elite Academy Kilifi.
5). Busy Bee Academy.
6). Light Academy.
7). St Kevin Schools.
8). Sheikh Zayed Primary
9). Light Academy.
