President Uhuru Kenyatta has rewarded Thomas Kwaka Omollo alias Big Ted with a plum ambassadorial position in the United States.
President Uhuru appointed Big Ted as the Consul General to Los Angeles, United States. Ted was one of the loyalists and close associates of the president who were rewarded with ambassadorial positions.
In the appointments, former ICT Principal Secretary, Bitange Ndemo was appointed Kenya’s Ambassador to Belgium. Michael Sialai, the Clerk of the National Assembly, was appointed as Kenya’s High Commissioner to Namibia.
Dr. Caroline Wanjiru Karugu has also been appointed as the country’s Ambassador to Denmark. Former Dagoretti South Member of Parliament, Dennis Waweru, was appointed as Kenya’s Consul General at the Kenyan Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Others include Ambassador Diana Kiambuthi was appointed to Rwanda, Ambassador Michael Oyugi was appointed to Spain, Maj Gen (Rtd) Thomas Chepkuto was appointed to Somalia, Ambassador Isaac Njenga was appointed to Tanzania, Leonard Boiyo was appointed to Turkey, Maj Gen (Rtd) George Owinow was appointed to Uganda.
