How to approach potential clients

It is essential for sales person to know how to approach clients. “Potential clients should be approached with a smile, but not too much smiling” advises Mr. Enzo Graziano. “In cases where the potential client is ‘too serious’, the sales person should also be as serious as possible.” While interacting with potential clients, learn how to read the mood of client and interact with them basing on their mood.

Potential clients of different genders should be approached differently, “As a sales person, avoid approaching potential male clients directly from the front, but rather approach them from an angle. While female clients can be approached from the front. Avoid approaching female clients from the back.” Says Mr. Enzo.

It is vital for every sales person to have courage while interacting with potential clients.

A sales person should be able to read the potential client client’s body posture. Also, always ensure the client is seated comfortably while interacting.

Dress code and sales story telling

As a sales person, always dress appropriately for the job. According to Mr. Enzo Dressing in smart casual is more appropriate for a sales person. Avoid dressing in uncomfortable outfits.

“A sales person should be able to tell his/her business story to potential client in 15 seconds”. Says Mr. Enzo, “Avoid being too wordy and too detailed while interacting with clients”.

Dealing with rejection

As a sales person, learning how to deal with rejection is key. “When rejected always come back with another proposal.” A sales person should neither give up easily or be nagging to potential client.

A sales person usually gets rejected due to his/her failure to read the client well.

A good online image is essential to an entrepreneur or a company. Personal branding is key for each entrepreneur. This can greatly aid in increasing the quantity of the business’ sales.

When it comes to emails, always be authentic. Be brief and accurate while selling your business.
