The Business Bay Square (BBS) mall in Eastleigh is expected to be the largest mall infrastructure ever constructed in East and Central Africa.
Located at the entrance of Eastleigh’s main business district, opposite Pumwani maternity hospital, BBS Mall is largely developed with a mixture of residential and commercial uses.
This mega project in Eastleigh is expected to be completed in early 2023.
It is expected that Business Bay Square Mall will host more than 3,500 Retail/Souk shops for both local and international brands. In addition, this development project will hold 150,000 visitors daily. It has 2,200 ample parking spaces, 32 restaurants, 364 toilets and 12 financial facilities.
“Business Bay Square Mall is modeled to be a unique one-stop Centre for commerce that offers the ultimate shopping experience, Business Bay Square comprises several levels of retail space that include a Souk Market and a variety of shops,” states BBS Mall on Instagram.
Furthermore, BBS will have residential and hotel facilities, three medical hospitals, a Mosque facility and recreational facilities.
The Mosque is expected to accommodate more than 1500 persons comfortably at any single moment.
All visitors will be treated to a fine dining experience should they wish to. The mall will offer customers a wide range of food and beverage services. Customers who will be in a hurry will be served in the comfort of their cars within minutes.
“There will also be some elite class fine dining outlets which will exhibit classy articles in the house and provide elaborate food services including international cuisines,” the BBS mall stated on its website.
Business Bay Square Mall will also house three major hospitals offering outpatient services to customers.
“The facility shall provide consultation, pharmacies, laboratories, diagnosis, and treatment services for outpatients. It shall also be serviced by an independent lobby, lifts, and ambulance bay at the entry-level,” the BBS mall stated on its website.
The mall will also host a seven-star hotel which is expected to accommodate 130 to 150 rooms. This will be located on the 2nd floor of the mall.
Kenyans will get a chance to rent out luxurious yet minimalist-designed office spaces. There will also be apartment units with a lounge area, domestic servant quarters, a laundry area, several world-class swimming pools, landscaped parks within the mall and kids’ playgrounds.
Some of the key objectives of BBS Mall are to have a reliable online shopping platform with E-commerce capabilities and achieve and maintain outstanding customer service that will ensure an 80 percent customer retention rate.
Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria visited BBS on Friday 10th December. He noted that the mall is ready for use and is expected to draw lots of people to the buzzing Eastleigh area.
