Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya, has announced the appointment of Christophe Orcet as the new Regional Director, East Africa.
Mr Orcet takes over from Franck Moreau who has retired from the company after serving for 23 years in different capacities. Mr Moreau resigned in October 2022 and worked hand in hand with the company and Christophe Orcet over the past 5 months to ensure a smooth transition.
Mr Orcet assumed his new role on 1st March 2023 and will oversee the operations of Carrefour in East Africa. He previously served as the Head of Operations and Commercial for the MAF Carrefour in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) region where he was responsible for the strategic commercial operations.
Orcet will provide important strategic support to the operations of Majid Al Futtaim in East Africa and play a vital part in advancing the overall objectives and visions of the supermarket chain.
