CBK announces available jobs

The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has announced internship opportunities for graduates seeking to practice their skills in various banking and financial sectors.

In an advert, the CBK said the one-year Internship Program aims to prepare graduates to take up employment opportunities in the Kenyan Banking and Financial sector.

“The Internship Program runs for one year, after which the candidates are released to pursue opportunities in the job market. It aims to develop and prepare young talent to take up employment opportunities that come up in the Kenyan Banking and Financial Sector,” CBK stated.

Interested applicants must hold a first degree from a recognised university. Additionally, applicants must have a specialty in either Finance, Economics, Statistics, Banking, Accounting, Micro-Finance, Human Resources, Management, Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications or related discipline, or a master’s degree in a relevant field.

Other requirements include being Kenyan, aged between 27 to 29 years, who have graduated within the last two years.

Furthermore, applicants should provide a recommendation letter from a recognised university, and should not have undertaken any other Internship programme or been exposed to any workplace experience related to their area of study.

CBK further noted that applicants should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be goal-oriented, focused, dynamic, passionate, and self-motivated.

They also must be team players and have the ability to solve problems, possess high levels of integrity and professionalism, be innovative, and computer proficient.

Successful candidates shall be required to have a valid medical insurance cover, provided by SHIF or another reputable medical insurance firm, for the entire internship duration.

During the application process, candidates will need to create an account, fill in an application form, and upload necessary documents, including academic certificates, transcripts, and a recommendation letter from their learning institution.
