Chris Kirubi makes Sh. 2.3 billion in 6 months on NSE

Billionaire industrialist Chris Kirubi has raked in Sh. 2.3 billion in the last six months.

Mr. Kirubi made the amount on the NSE following a share rally that followed the outcome of the General Election.

Chris is the majority individual shareholder at investment firm Centum.

He owns a 28.6 per cent stake in the firm that is headed by fellow shareholder James Mworia.

Kirubi’s stake is now worth 8.29 billion. Over the last six months, each Centum share was trading at averages of Sh. 31. It has since risen to around Sh. 44 apiece.

This means that his stake that was valued at Sh. 5.99 billion has appreciated by Sh. 12.25 each.

Mr. Kirubi is among a host of NSE billionaires such as Peter Munga, Benson Warigi and James Mwangi who have raked in billions in paper worth following the bullish run on the NSE.
