Billionaire investor Chris Kirubi has backed the on-going calls for the sacking of Kenya Airways top management. Mr. Kirubi has also called for the disbandment of the KQ board over what he calls selling of the carrier’s valuable assets at throwaway prices.
“I put my money to support the revival of Kenya Airways based on my interest to see that Nairobi continues to be the very centre of our business operations,” Mr Kirubi in an interview with Kenya’s Business Daily. Mr. Kirubi further likened KQ’s current situation with a sick baby lying in bed without treatment.
This comes barely a week after KQ pilots downed their tools calling for the sacking of KQ managing director Mr. Mbuvi Ngunze.
