A photo showing a much improved Chris Kirubi’s health has appeared. The photo taken together with Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho was released by the billionaire industrialist.
It comes hot on the heels of a series of photos on social media that had painted a gloomy picture of Mr. Kirubi’s health status.
Over the recent few months, Mr. Kirubi has been battling against cancer, which is suspected to be cancer of the colon.
He is widely known for his flamboyant lifestyle and diverse investments on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
Last year, his investment firm Centum Investments released a statement saying that Mr. Kirubi had traveled to the US for specialized treatment. Prior to that, he had been admitted at a Nairobi hospital.
Mr. Kirubi’s rise to billionaire status has always divided opinion among people. On one end, he is applauded for his sharp business acumen while on the other end, he is castigated for what is perceived as is his role in defunct firm Kenatco and Uchumi, which is currently at near death.
