Churchill finally speaks on allegations he shortchanges his comedians

Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill has finally spoken on the allegations that dogged his comedy business over the recent past.

This is after shocking revelations were made by comedienne Zeddy last year that comedians at Churchill Show are poorly paid, and that some of them like WaKimani and Njoro have sunk into depression.

While speaking during an episode of his show on Sunday, Churchill said that he was aware of the allegations that went viral on social media.

“Watu wanongea sana hadi unashindwa where do you start. Everything is a journey and it has taken me almost 20 years now to do these journey series and we are not stopping,” he said.

He went on so say;

“10 years ago you had to audition to become great but right now you can use social media. Now we are not in that era where unasema mtu amekukazia kukua kwa stage, oooh sasa huyu hanitakiii. We did time for you guys. Now you are a brand, you even don’t need to be a brand, you just need to have great content to change that social media to media. You don’t have to be on TV, you don’t have to be on radio.”

Allegations that Daniel Ndambuki Churchill has been shortchanging comedians have persisted for a couple of years. In April this year, when prodded to make a response, Churchill said, “one day you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free!”
