DCI Facebook page that described Rigathi as ‘crooked criminal’ before elections goes silent

The popular DCI Facebook page that has been giving followers endless crime stories has stopped posting.

The page which is operated by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations went silent following the declaration by the Supreme Court of Kenya that Dr. William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua had been duly elected as President and Deputy President of the republic of Kenya.

Notably, on July 30 2022, the page had posted a narration alleging how Gachagua had siphoned over Sh. 200 million from public coffers.

The page had used some unpleasant terms to describe Gachagua, calling him a criminal and a crooked member of parliament.

Ruto: Kenya might start buying Russian oil

Over two weeks after the swearing in ceremony of President Ruto and his deputy Gachagua, the page has posted only once to clarify an alleged mass resignation that was reported to have hit it.

It is widely expected that the DCI boss George Kinoti will be kicked out. Kinoti had fallen out with President Ruto and was perceived to have been pushing the agenda of the Azimio la Umoja coalition whose chairman is former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
