Degree Courses Scrapped by Egerton University

Egerton University earlier this year scrapped eight degree courses in a bid to enhance financial stability.

Egerton University Vice Chancellor (VC) prof Isaac Kibwage said the 8 courses had not been attracting a quorum of 15 students at the institution in the last five years.

”As part of reorganizing the institution, we are scrapping some eight degree courses that have failed to attract enough students to sustain them despite having hired lecturers for them,’’

”The university has identified eight degree programs which we intend to scrap. Lecturers and staff in those departments will, unfortunately, have to exit,’’ said Kibwage.
