Kenyan Diana Chepkemoi in tears after landing at JKIA, narrates Saudi struggles

Diana Chepkemoi arrives at JKIA

Diana Chepkemoi has finally touched down on Kenyan soil after a long spell of disaster and mistreatment in Saudi Arabia. The girl overwhelemed with joy and gratitude could not hold back tears as she embraced her family and friends.

Last week, an emaciated Diana Chepkemoi’s photo was all over Social media. This infuriated many Kenyans who sought her immediate return to the country.

On arrival at JKIA, Chepkemoi rubbished all claims that her employee made of her being rude causing her to be punished. She said that the employer was naturally mistreating her with the knowledge that no action would ever be taken against her and her family.

“I wasn’t rude. I was doing my job. The problems started when I arrived in Saudi Arabia, I had an issue with her. I reported to my agent but instead of helping, he kept silent over the matter.

She affirmed that she left Kenya after deferring her studies in hopes that she can get enough money to return to Kenya and pay for her fourth year at University. Diana was pursuing Food science and management at Meru University.

Diana claims that her experience was far off from what other Kenyans owned by Saudi families are undergoing.

“People are suffering in Saudi Arabia, my friends are suffering there, I am glad I got support when I came out,” she said.

She has called on the government of Kenya to follow up on Kenyans working in the Arab kingdom.

“People are tortured psychologically, physically and it is not fair, it is a shame being told there is nothing you can do about it,” adds Diana.

“I am fortunate to have received support from people but there are those who are not mentally okay as they don’t know their names or their surroundings. They sent a plea to the Kenyan government to rescue them.”

Her family, chaperoned by Diana’s mother called on Kenyans to unite and ensure that her daughter is brought back into the country from Saudi. She expressed her appreciation to the millions who pulled strings to bring Diana back.

“I’m so grateful that Diana is back. I can’t explain my happiness.” She stated.
