The Diversity Visa lottery results for applicants who applied between October and November 2023 have been released. The DV Lottery results that have been released are for the DV-2025 applications.
DV-2025 Entrants will now have until September 30, 2025 to check the status of their entry through the official US Department of State’s DV program website.
The entry period for the DV-2025 Diversity Visa Program was opened between October 4, 2023 and November 7, 2023.
The eligible entrants may enter their confirmation information through the link below starting at noon (EDT) on May 4, 2024. “The DV-2025 Entrants should keep their confirmation number until at least September 30, 2025,” the US State department states.

At the same time, the DV-2024 entrants have until September 30, 2024 to check the status of their entry through this website. The DV-2024 registration period was from October 5, 2022, until November 8, 2022.
When preparing to check the results, you are advised to be sure you have the Entrant’s Confirmation Number, Last/Family Name, and Year of Birth to check the entrant status online.

If you haven’t been selected, you will have another chance to try your luck in the 2026 edition that will open in October this year.
If you are selected, you will need to make haste in filling the necessary forms after which you will be allocated an interview date at the US Embassy.
You will also be required to do a medical check. Immigration medical checks are exclusively done at the United Nations’ IOM Immigration Health Assessment centre at Gigiri.
It is important to understand that getting selected is not always a guarantee that you will immigrate to the US. This is because the program selects more applicants than the available slots.
