Kenyan Art came alive last evening as Fairmont The Norfolk kicked off an exciting week-long of African Art exhibition dubbed ‘African Inspiration’.
The exhibition presents an exciting week of cocktails and tribal art at the Hotel’s sumptuous Cin Cin Lounge Bar.
Guests were treated to an exclusive Gin & Tonic cocktails followed by Black & Stormy rum cocktails and a showcase of unique collection of rare and valuable arts curated by Lisa Christoffersen.
Axel Hauser, General Manager, Fairmont The Norfolk commented: “The importance of art in preserving the culture of a society cannot be overlooked. That’s why we are hosting this event to showcase different works of art that communicate diverse aspects of our life and the society. The event is an opportunity not only for our artistes to showcase their works of art, but also to treat our guests to the local heritage as they experience a home away from home feel,”
The event aims to provide a platform for different art exhibitors to display their works and content.
During the week, African Artworks ranging from paintings, carvings and artifacts will be on display at the Cin Cin Lounge and will also be available for purchase before the exhibition comes to an end on 4th August.
“Fairmont as a brand has heavily invested in the art scene across the globe and we are proud to contribute to the growth of our local arts,” concluded Axel.
