Generous Kenyans led by philanthropist Faith Nganga have build a brand new house for a single mother of three who was living in a shanty in Nyeri County.
The single mother identified as Sarah received the house on Saturday.
This is after her plight caught the attention of Faith Nganga who highlighted it and asked generous Kenyans to donate as little as Sh. 100.
“”We went to see Sarah and the kids. We have managed to get them out of that house to a better rental house for now until we build them a house.
We managed to get the most essential things like beds and utensils. We have planned to build them a two-bedroom house with a kitchen,” she first wrote on her Facebook page.
Kenyans on social media made their donations under the PayBill 891300, account 41941 and M-Pesa line 0726200126.
Once the house neared completion, Faith called on people to donate items to make the transition easier for Sarah.
“Sarah’s house is almost done. Finally the kids will have a good place they can call home. This has been team work from all of us…You my Facebook family. We’re now looking for furniture. Beds and bedding, seats, tables etc. If you have either of these, kindly let us know,” she wrote.
