Fuel prices rise

Fuel prices in Kenya have risen. From Sunday May 15, the price of petrol will cost Sh. 3.54 while the price of diesel will be Sh. 4.14 more.

One litre of petrol will now cost Sh84.25 while diesel will retail at Sh70.37 in Nairobi.The price of kerosene will now cost Sh46.98 after rising by Sh. 3.02. “As the products take time to reach the local market, the impact of this change will begin to affect the local retail prices from this month,” said the ERC statement.

ERC added that the average landed cost of imported super petrol increased by 13.29 per cent from Sh41,700 per tonne in March this year to Sh47,295 in April.
