GreatMwanzo Properties & Management Valuers Ltd is a Nairobi-based real estate firm dealing in residential, corporate, and commercial property management.

The firm is owned by businesswoman Lucy Njambi, who serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In an interview with Bizna, the entrepreneur, who boasts over 10 years of experience in the real estate sector, revealed she started the firm in 2004 fuelled by the urge to provide reliable and professional property services.

While GreatMwanzo Properties started small with a team of only two staff and five clients, it has, over the years, grown to a multimillion firm with several branches in the country, creating job opportunities for over 100 employees.

Among the services it offers include property management, valuation, consultancy, and advisory services.

Njambi attributes the success of her firm to quality services, which have seen the company gain a huge customer base and be recognized for professionalism and reliability.

”Our business is located in Nairobi, strategically positioned to serve clients across the city and its nearby outskirts. We prioritize client satisfaction and strive to exceed expectations with every service we offer.’’ She said.

However, she admitted that running the business has not been smooth sailing, especially in the initial years, due to various challenges, including dealing with difficult clients, navigating stiff competition in the market, and managing supplier relationships.

”My team and I have faced hurdles in setting up operations and establishing our reputation…These experiences have taught us the importance of communication, adaptability, and continuous improvement in our business operations,’’ Njambi explains.

Her determination for success propelled her to employ strategies to improve the business’s operations, among them investing in staff training.

”As a company, we invest in our people. We encourage and support training and courses at all levels throughout our staff in an effort to keep them abreast of new developments in our industry.’’

GreatMwanzo Properties has also highly invested in technology for more efficient and more comprehensive delivery of information to its clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The firm envisions to be a leading name in the property industry in Kenya in the next 5-10 years as well as expand beyond its current market reach.

”We plan to expand our services to new markets, invest in technology to streamline our operations, and strengthen partnerships with clients and stakeholders,’’ says Njambi.
