Charlotte Miller: How Mzungu woman lost Sh20 million to Kenyan lover after divorcing husband

Charlotte Miller, a Danish national, narrated how a Kenyan lover identified as David swindled her of over Sh20 million.

Miller had just toured Kenya alongside her Danish husband when she met David at the Maasai Mara Camp.

Impressed by the Maasai Culture, she approached David, then a waiter at the camp, to learn more about the Maasai culture, little did she know the conversation would later leave her with life regrets.

David lied to her that he was a Masaai, and it was at this point that Miller developed feelings for him.

“If you ever told me, one minute before I arrived at that camp, you would meet your future Kenyan husband here, I would not believe you because I was here with my Danish husband, and I was very happy,” she recalled.

“I asked David because I was attracted to this Maasai culture, so I wanted to know everything about it…So we talked, and when I was going to sleep, I slept with a smile,” she added.

Despite being married for over a decade, Miller decided to divorce her husband for David, whom she was deeply in love with. While in Denmark, she would, at times, organize secret trips to Kenya to meet David.

When her Danish husband learned about it, he divorced her to be with the Kenyan lover. David would later quit his job to depend on Miller fully.

Things took a different turn in 2016 when Miller gifted David a car. He distanced himself from her, cutting all the conversations.

“I talked to my family and friends, and they told me, ‘Forget about it, Charlotte, this Toyota Isis you bought for Sh1 million, forget about that money,’’ Miller revealed.

She however realized the young man had swindled Sh20 million from her. This prompted her to hire an investigator, and David was arrested.

It was at this point she found out David was married. According to her, David’s wife questioned how he bought the car yet he was jobless.

The two made up, and Miller decided to forgive David and withdrew the charges. He, however, continued to exploit her financially and live lavishly whenever she was absent.
