How to apply for fully funded 2025 UK scholarships

The Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the United Kingdom, has opened scholarship applications for the 2025 academic year.

The opportunities target Kenyan citizens pursuing Master’s and PhD studies in the UK and will see them get fully paid scholarships.

According to the notice on MyGov on Tuesday, August 27, the scholarships will be awarded to 10 PhD candidates and 19 Master’s students, at any approved UK university.

PhD students are, on the other hand, required to have a Master’s degree, similar referee statements, and a supporting statement from a potential supervisor at a UK institution.

Interested applicants are urged to submit applications online via the CSC’s online application portal which opens on September 10 until October 15, 2024.

After the online submission, candidates will be required to submit printed copies of their completed applications to the Ministry of Education on October 17, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.

According to the Education Ministry, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The Ministry warned applicants against the submission of falsified documents, adding that such actions would be met with legal consequences.
