Rigathi, whose full name is Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua, was born to Nahashon Gachagua and Mama Jane Kirigo. His mother passed away in December 2019. He is married to Dorcas Rigathi who lost her mother Virginia Wambui Ikinu to cancer at the age of 86. The couple has two sons Kevin and Keith.
