The overwhelming popularity of social media platforms has created new channels for making money. More personalities are monetizing their social media followings and turning their online presence into full-time jobs.

As such, social media influencers with high traffic to their platforms have been making a lucrative income which has enabled some to establish business empires that are well worth millions.

Huddah Monroe

Huddah Monroe is one of the most influential Kenyans on Social Media. She has worked as a brand ambassador for several brands, including alcohol powerhouse Luc Belaire, Brighten Mi, and others.

Monroe rose to fame after participating in the Big Brother Africa 8 show in South Africa. The show was one of the most-watched reality shows in Africa.

Recently Monroe revealed she charges Sh 1 million for club appearances. Besides influencing, she is a businesswoman with a string of businesses in the fashion industry.

Some of the known brands under her name include Body by Huddah, a lingerie brand, Rebel Nairobi, and Huddah Clothing which deals in Muslim wear.

Some of the brands Eric has worked with include Bonfire Adventures, Dola wheat flour, William Lawson, Hava, and Sportpesa, among others.

He is the founder of BigTime Entertainment. Eric recently ventured into a multi-million nightclub business by acquiring Maxys Lounge in Nairobi. The club is reportedly worth KSh18 million.

Moyah David

Moya David is a Kenyan Tik Toker who rose to fame through his heartwarming dance moves. He revealed that TikTok videos pay him over Sh200,000 per month.

He also earns money by surprising individuals during birthday parties, graduation, marriage ceremonies, etc.  He has worked with various brands, including Mimshack Homes, Raha Premium Flour, etc.

He is a businessman running a successful SPA in Kilimani. During the opening of the high-end Spa, Moyah said he ventured into the business because he didn’t want to waste the money he earned.

He, however, did not reveal the cost of the business but said the spa was a solo business venture.

His known investments include Planet Homes Kenya, which deals with Airbnb, and Summer House Real Estate, which purchases and sells land for profit.

He also has a hand in the beauty and cosmetic industry. In addition to content creation and business, he is a Brand ambassador for various brands, including Insta Bet, a betting firm.

Ali Abdi

Ali Abdi, also known as Nairobi West Niccur, is a fashion designer, social media influencer, and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Thrift Trendy, a fashion store specializing in streetwear, fashion, accessories, and sneakers.

The 22-year-old has taken over the country’s fashion industry by storm, making him one of the youngest Kenyan millionaires.

His journey in the fashion industry began immediately after completing his high school studies. His brand grew with time standing to be among the popular brands in Kenya.
