Many Kenyans have been wondering how they can start investing profitably. Well, the Young Nairobi Stock Exchange Investors forum is holding an investors’ seminar on investing profitably this Sunday. The seminar that will be held at the Enkare Hotel Conference Room opposite Jevanjee Gardens will offer Kenyans looking to invest in the local stocks market a chance to learn on the best investment practices that will guarantee a return for their money.
“We have opened this forum to any Kenyans who are focused on the growth of their personal wealth through passive investments,” says George Mangeni, one of the meetings key organizers. “Our aim is to net all investors who do not know how to go about investing on the NSE profitably.”
Attending investors will be charged an entry fee of Sh. 1,500 per person, which is a huge bargain considering the amount offering the seminar will make. The first one hour which will be between 2pm – 3pm will be dedicated to new investors on the NSE.
“We have prepared relevant presentations and we will also answer questions on investing at NSE including opening of a CDS account, roles of the Capital Markets Authority, CDSC and NSE, selecting brokers, picking good stocks from bad stocks, penny stocks, benefits of long term investing versus short term, and speculation at NSE,” says Mr. Mangeni.
From 3pm to 6pm there will be presentations on the market performance with focus on projections of popular stocks such as Safaricom, Equity, KPLC, Kengen, and Barclays that are currently either undervalued or overvalued.
