Jacque Maribe’s Job at Citizen: Popular journalist Jacque Maribe is back at Citizen TV. Ms Maribe is currently an accused person in the murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani.
She resumed work after she was granted bail in the murder trial of Monica. Reports indicate that Ms. Maribe resumed work at Citizen on Monday. However, she has taken new roles at the station and will not be anchoring news. This follows a directive by the High Court Judge James Wakiaga when he granted her bail application.
“The accused shall not read news, comment or participate in any interview directly or indirectly related to this case, 2 she shall not read news during the period this matter is fixed for hearing… She shall not interview any parties directly or indirectly connected with this case including the victim’s family, advocate, prosecution witnesses, and trial court,” Judge Wakiaga ruled on October 30 adding that the order was subject to review.
Reports also indicate that Ms. Maribe will now be supervising and producing news items before they go on air.
Ms. Maribe has been accused together with her fiance Joseph Irungu who is popularly known as Jowie. Earlier on, Citizen had sent her on a compulsory leave before it came out to state that she was still their employee.
