Jeff Koinange Coronavirus: Popular media personality Jeff Koinange has tested positive for coronavirus. He revealed the news on his Twitter handle, where he also thanked Royal Media Services for support.

“Folks, just to let you know, I have tested POSITIVE for Covid-19. I’m doing Good..NO symptoms…and my Family is fine. All my close contacts have been informed. Right now I’m in self isolation. Many thanks to Royal Media Services Management for its Support,” he said.

Mr. Koinange becomes the latest media personality to test positive for coronavirus after fellow journalist Stephen Letoo tested positive last week. Letoo has been at the forefront in covering the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I did not have any signs and even now I don’t have any signs. I am fine and I have my appetite like before. You might even think that I am pretending,” Letoo said.

According to the ministry of Health, over 90 per cent of the infected people in Kenya are asymptomatic. On Monday, the Ministry of Health announced an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases by 418. Total cases now stand at 13,771 out of the 246, 361 tested so far. Four people died of the Coronavirus disease bringing the cumulative death toll to 238 since the virus was first detected here on March 13, 2020. The disease has since spread to over 40 counties.
