National carrier Kenya Airways has resumed daily New York flights. Already, Kenya Airways has been flying to New York three times per week.
This has been an increase from three flights per week. The current daily flights now mean that the national carrier will be flying to New York all week, a sign of increased demand for the New York route.
The United States is currently ranked as the largest overseas source market for Kenya. It accounted for 16 per cent of the 870,465 visitors that came into the country in 2021.
Apart from the New York route, Kenya Airways has also increased flights to Paris, France. Kenya Airways will now fly to Paris daily from the previous schedule of five flights per week.
It will also fly to London, United Kingdom fourteen times up from twelve times per week. KQ will be flying to Johannesburg, South Africa, 24 times up from four times weekly, and Amsterdam, Netherlands, five times up from four times per week. It will fly yo Madagascar nine times up from seven times per week, and Comoros five times up from four times per week.

The high frequency to Johannesburg is set to coincide with the new immigration regulations that will allow Kenyans with ordinary passports to fly into South Africa without visas from January 1, 2023.
These new regulations are set to spark increased traveling to South Africa by Kenyans.
