Kenya Homes Expo to kick off next week at KICC

The 25th edition of the Kenya Homes Expo will open its doors to the public next Thursday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi.

The Expo will be officially opened on Thursday 27th April by James Macharia, Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing & Urban Development.

Since 2011, there has been a near 30% growth in the real estate sector and this has remained relatively stable, a sentiment that Mr. Daniel Ojijo, the Chairman of Homes Universal holds.

Mr. Ojijo continues to add that there is a general demand for residential housing in the upcoming satellite cities as well as land and opportunities for income generation through land for those who aren’t able to start building now.

With the eye-opening reality that in the last 4 or so years, most of the housing constructed is unaffordable to the larger Kenyan population which has become a great challenge to the government and private developers are keen on providing housing for this segment with immense support from the government.
