Kenya National Research

The inaugural Kenya National Research Festival (KNRF), launched through collaboration between the National Research Fund (NRF) and Young Scientists Kenya (YSK), represents a pivotal moment for Kenya’s scientific community. It aims to celebrate groundbreaking discoveries catalyzing innovation and forge partnerships to drive socio-economic development.

Professor Dickson Andala, NRF’s CEO, emphasized the festival’s transformative potential in his address, highlighting Kenya’s commitment to leveraging research, science, technology, and innovation (RSTI) for national progress. He underscored that KNRF is more than just an event—it’s a platform where novel ideas emerge, partnerships are formed, and the full impact of research is realized.

Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, through Prof. Benedict Mutua, Vice Chancellor of the Technical University of Kenya, echoed these sentiments, stressing RSTI’s crucial role in enhancing global competitiveness and empowering youth. She called upon stakeholders to actively support the festival through sponsorship and participation, ensuring it surpasses expectations in inspiring the next generation of scientists and innovators.
