Kenya Power tokens service to be unavailable from Sunday night

Kenya Power tokens service will be unavailable for a period of twenty four hours beginning on Sunday night. The service will then resume on Monday night after what the utility firm has termed as a scheduled maintenance.

During this outage, consumers will not be able to purchase tokens by whichever means that are currently available.

“We wish to inform our customers that the prepaid token vending system will be unavailable from 10:00pm, Sunday 2nd June, 2024 to 10:00pm, Monday, 3rd June 2024 to enable us to upgrade our systems for improved service delivery,” Kenya Power announced.

“During this period, customers will not be able to buy electricity tokens from all vending points including Kenya Power offices, M-Pesa PayBill numbers 888880, Airtel Money, and banking channels.”

Kenya Power has cautioned consumers to ensure that they purchase adequate tokens before the scheduled disruption kicks off.

“We wish to advise our pre-paid customers to buy enough tokens before then to avoid any inconvenience,” Kenya Power stated.
