A Kenyan billionaire and owner of the TAJ Mall which is situated in Embakasi has found himself in hot soup.
This is after he was accused of stealing two mobile phones valued at Sh. 55,520. Mr. Ramesh Chandara Govind is accused of stealing the phones which belong to Land Force Security Company in July 2017 at Taj Mall area.

The court heard that Govind was handed the two phones on July 6, 2017.
According to the police, he obtained the phones from the firm’s director, Peter Kebaso, for use during the campaigns – in which he vied for the Nairobi senatorial seat in the August 8 General Elections.
According to the prosecution, this was done in the presence of the security firm’s site manager.
However, after the campaigns, Govind allegedly told the complainant that the phones got lost during the campaign — and that he should forget them and move on.
