Three out of every five Kenyans own an Infinix smart phone. We might as well argue that Infinix is to phones what Probox is to cars. This raises an important question: why is the product so popular? Are Kenyans really impressed by its specifications can its demand be attributed to societal influence? Neither might be the case since there are currently many other budget phones that equal or rival the functionality specifications offered by Infinix. Furthermore, majority of Kenyans are also not so excited about high RAMs and Android versions. They just want cool, reliable phones. By doing an in depth analysis, I realized that there are three main things that make Infinix phones more popular than other brands in the market.
Appearance
Infinix devices are good from far but not exactly far from good. Utmost precision was put into the bodily design and as a result, the look is that of a million bucks. The chamfered contours of each version make the phone pleasing to look at while the highly polished body catches and reflects the light of its surroundings. While holding an Infinix phone, someone else can’t exactly tell what brand it is unless they ask you or check the back side. If you are obsessed with class, you can even lie.

As an Infinix user, you get away with the fact that people think you really have an expensive phone yet it’s just the same thing everyone else has. All thanks to it’s cool look. Before the golden age of smart phones, you could only stand out if you had the Blackberries of this world. But nowadays, thanks to Infinix, you can fake it until you make it.

Price and early entry into the smart phone market
How do Infinix phones stack up against the rest of the competition on the issue of price? While handsets like the Iphone S6. LG G5 and Samsung S7 are stealing headlines for their functionality prowess, Infinix smart phones are winning the sales war. For an Infinix phone worth 10K, you get the same functionality that you will get from a Samsung phone worth 30K. That’s right. All those amazing features from flagship devices are all trickling down to Infinix phones. There are other cheap and reliable communication gadgets in the market too but Infinix established base early on thus making itself the go-to-product before the others came along.
Battery Life
The manufacturers of Infinix phones did not rush to place in-built batteries in them for no reason. Unless you abuse the phone by constantly engaging power-draining apps, you’ll see why it’s called the ‘King of Endurance’. You don’t have to walk with power banks or keep on borrowing chargers. A phone that needs to be re-charged all the time quickly begins to lose its ‘smartness’ and just becomes another daily annoyance. Luckily, Infinix separates itself from the phones that can barely make it past a sprint finish.
Verdict
Any version of the Infinix is worth the hype without a doubt. Nothing about the phone suggests that it’s overrated. You might not get the best camera or the ability to run all the latest 3D games but for every day use, the Infinix is a great phone that we highly approve.
