New CCTV footage on Kilimani murder emerges with puzzling evidence

Kilimani CCTV Footage: New CCTV footage on the murder of Kevin Omwenga which occurred last month has emerged. The footage appears to suggest that the murder may have been premeditated. The footage has further implicated Robert Ouko, who is believed to have pulled the trigger on Omwenga.

The CCTV footage, which was initially obtained by Citizen Tv, was recorded at Chris Obure’s office which is located along Galana Road, Nairobi. A controversial businessman, Obure was roped into the murder after Ouko used his pistol to kill Omwenga.

The footage at his office captured Ouko on the same day  that Omwenga died. That was on Saturday, August 22. According to the CCTV, Ouko entered the office at 6:26 am and headed for the keys to open the safe where the Ceska pistol was kept.

He was also shown to be in communication with an unidentified individual on a walkie talkie. He then picked the Ceska pistol, cocked it, holstered it and walked out of the office at 6:29 am.

The same CCTV later captured Ouko at the same hospital after Omwenga had been shot and rushed to the hospital. He was captured returning the pistol to its safe at 11:37 pm. He was also seen filling the magazine. At 11:43 pm, he left the office and allegedly headed to Kilimani Police Station where he was detained as a suspect.

The footage appears to contradict his own version to the police that he had fetched the gun so that Omwenga could use it to show off to a female acquaintance. Ouko had also claimed that the pistol had gone off accidentally.
