The list of most popular secondary schools in Kenya as chosen by 2021 KCPE candidates can now be revealed. In the list, Nanyuki High School is once again the most popular secondary school in Kenya.
This school was chosen by 156,003 pupils. It has an absorption capacity of 480.
It was followed closely by Kabianga High with 149,087 applicants and Pangani Girls with 118,073 applicants.
These were also the second and third most popular schools in 2020.

Maseno School attracted 110,811 applicants against a capacity of 576, Nakuru High School attracted 107, 915 applications against 336 available slots while Alliance Girls got 104,353 applicants against 384.
Kapsabet Boys with 99,725 applicants and a 384 capacity, and Butere Girls School with 98,410 applicants and a 528 capacity.
Mangu High School received 93,648 applications against a 432 capacity, while Moi Girls High School received 92,666 applications against a 336 capacity.
In the slots allocation by the Ministry of Education, County schools took in 218,456, sub-county schools got 726,311 while special-need schools got 2,045 candidates.
