Loss Making Companies in Kenya: Although the government has been claiming that the Kenyan economy is growing, the reality on the ground is very disheartening.

Companies that are listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange that were once vibrant money makers are now making losses that amount to tens of billions every year.

1. National Bank of Kenya reports 98 per cent decline in profit after tax for the year ended December 31, 2018.

2. Housing Finance sinks into an after tax loss of Sh. 598 million for the year ended December 31, 2018.

8. Mumias Sugar posts Sh. 15 billion loss, which is more than twice Sh. 6.8 billion loss posted in 2017.
