M-Pesa services will this weekend be switched off to pave way for a system upgrade.
According to Safaricom, the systems upgrade will commence on Saturday at 10pm and end on Sunday at 11am.
“Safaricom has put in place measures to ensure a smooth transition during the upgrade, which will provide our customers and partners with more features and capabilities in the future,” said Chief Executive Bob Collymore.
The M-Pesa upgrade which started in July, has seen new M-Pesa features added to the platform and some functions automated, reducing the need for customers to make request at its call centre.
