Forum on making money on NSE to be held this Sunday

The Young Nairobi Stock Exchange Investors (YNSE) Group will be holding its quarterly investment meeting this Sunday.

This is one of the key investment meetings the group has been holding. The group was founded on Facebook as a forum for investors to learn how to invest at the Nairobi Securities Exchange profitably.

The group has gone on to established itself as the only local investment forum for securities investors. “We have lined up certified financial and securities experts who will guide investors on the topics of the day,” says George Mangs, a moderator at the YNSEI.

According to Mangs, this month’s meeting will seek to address how the current electoral impasse is affecting the securities market and how investors can safeguard their investment.

Additionally, securities research analysts will look at the current financial position of Athi River Mining and whether the company is on the same path as the debt-laden Nakumatt Supermarket.

“We shall also look at the mobile-phone based bonds, M-Akiba, and whether the returns they offer are worth your money,” says Mangs. He adds that the session will also have a discussion on whether listed insurer CIC is an overbought counter and whether investors should put their money on it.

The investment forum will be held at the Enkare Hotel which is situated along Motar Daddah Street, opposite Jeevanjee Gardens from 3pm to 6pm.

You can book your seat at a fee of Sh. 500, which is payable at the door or via MPesa Paybill number 809 692.
