Makueni County advertises 64 job vacancies: How to apply

The Makueni County Government has announced 64 job vacancies across various departments.

In a public notice, Makueni County Public Service Board invited applications from qualified candidates who wish to support the county in running its operations.

Interested and qualified candidates are required to make their applications online through the board’s website or jobs portal by April 2, 2026, latest 5 PM.

“Makueni County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions. Applications should be received on or before Thursday, April 2,” the notice reads in part.

According to the notice, the open positions are:

1. Office of the Governor

1. Chief Officer (Infrastructure, Transport and Public Works) – one position.
2. Chief Officer (Information Communication and Technology) – one position.
3. Chief Officer (Agriculture) – one position.

2. Department of Lands, Urban Planning and Development, Environment and Climate Change

1. Director, lands, urban planning and development (re-advertisement) – one position.

3. Department of Health Services

1. Senior assistant director of medical services/medical specialist I – anaesthesiologist.
2. Senior assistant director of medical services/medical specialist I – radiologist.
3. Senior assistant director of medical services/medical specialist I – clinical pathologist.
4. Senior assistant director of medical services/medical specialist I – general surgeon.
5. Senior assistant director of pharmaceutical services, specialist I – oncologist (two positions).
6. Senior assistant director of pharmaceutical services/pharmaceutical specialist I – tropical and infectious diseases.
7. Medical officer – four positions.
8. Registered nurse III – 14 positions.
9. Medical laboratory assistants – two positions.
10. Assistant public health officers – four positions.
11. Nutrition and dietetics technologist.
12. Assistant physiotherapist III.
13. Health administrative assistant – two positions.

4. Department of Finance, Planning, Budget and Revenue

1. Revenue assistant III – nine positions.
2. Revenue clerk II – 11 positions.
3. Driver.
4. Asset management officer – two positions.
5. Senior economist II.
6. Senior statistician II.
