In the heart of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by scenic landscapes and natural wonders, lies a luxurious hotel that was once the private residence of a British couple Joe and Minnie MacHale, from Hampshire England. The luxury hotel is known as Lengishu House in Borana Conservancy in Kenya.
This magnificent mansion, which has been transformed into a high-end hotel, boasts breathtaking views and top-notch amenities that attract wealthy tourists from around the world.
The story of this hotel begins with the couple from the United Kingdom who fell in love with Kenya’s natural beauty and decided to make it their home. They purchased a large piece of land and built a beautiful mansion overlooking the stunning Rift Valley.
The mansion was their private residence for many years, but as they grew older, they began to think about the legacy they wanted to leave behind.
“Our family’s love of Kenya began over 40 years ago during Minnie’s life-changing four-year stay in Nairobi, from which we gained a number of deep and lasting friendships, together with an appreciation of the beauty of this country and the friendliness of its people. As a result, we embarked on our first family safari holiday in Kenya some 20 years ago,” Joe noted on the hotel’s website.
The couple decided to transform their mansion into a luxury hotel, hoping to share their love for Kenya and its natural wonders with the world.
