How daring gang raided billionaire Manu Chandaria’s Muthaiga home

Manu Chandaria Home Raid: At around 1am on Monday morning, a gang of eight robbers raided billionaire Manu Chandaria’s home in the prestigious Muthaiga estate. They stayed at the home for several hours until police were alerted.

The gang then escaped through the neighbouring Karura forest. At the home, the gang is believed to have stolen Sh. 600,000, jewelry and other valuables and a G3 rifle belonging to the AP officer. The rifle that was later recovered.

This raid has left police puzzled. this is because the home is guarded by an armed Administration Police officer and three guards. The home is also located in one of Kenya’s most affluent and safest estates. Police officers who responded to a distress call from the home found the three security guards tied with ropes.

Reports says that Chandaria heard a loud bang that came from the entrance. By the time he woke up, the gangs had gained entry into his bedroom. He reportedly said that they were armed with a pistol and a cutter. They demanded cash and asked him to show them where his safe was. They then fired two shots in the air. Police are said to have recovered two spent cartridges.
