Agriculture cabinet secretary nominee Mithika Linturi has revealed that he has 35 outstanding civil court cases.
Linturi has also revealed that his current net worth stands at Sh. 1.2 billion.
Linturi said his wealth is distributed in the form of developed properties, vehicles and shares in saccos.
“Mr Chairman my financial net worth which includes my investments in various companies in this country and other investments in saccos are to the tune of Sh. 1.2 billion,” he said.

“My current income is money I get out of rental income. Business, I’m a dairy farmer, and the amount I’m expecting to get in the near future is beyond Sh. 1 billion.”
Linturi made these revelations when he appeared for vetting before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments.
On his court cases, Linturi said that he does not have criminal cases.
“I am an open book. In fact, those who write and say litany of cases is an understatement. I have 35 civil cases right now,” Linturi said.
They are all civil. The only criminal case I had in court was between the republic and I, where the complainant was Beryl, and it’s a case where people wanted to extort money from me.”
