At 6 years old, the majority of children across the world would be very happy and comfortable having a toy car they can play with.
This has not been the case for Muhammed Awal Mustapha, an African boy popularly known as Mompha Junior, who is swimming in billions of money, most of it acquired in suspicious ways that have spooked the government.
In fact, as has now become fashionable, the money the boy rolls in has been passed down from his father who is suspected to be part of an international money laundering syndicate.
The ten-year-old is the firstborn child of Nigerian multimillionaire Ismaila Mustapha, whose popular alias is Mompha or Mompha senior.
Mompha lives both in the United Arab Emirates and in Nigeria where runs businesses in both countries. He shares images of his expensive life with his over-a-million followers on Instagram.
Mompha is currently facing multiple charges over what has been termed as money laundering activities involving billions of money whose source cannot be properly explained.
He shares his wealth with his son and has been giving him lots of luxury treatment. Mompha Junior has an Instagram account with nearly 30,000 followers.
In this account, he posts pictures of his lavish lifestyle, posing on top of cars such as Lamborghinis and eating in private jets.
Mompha gifted his son Mompha Junior a mansion and a red Lamborghini Aventador for his sixth birthday.
He posed for a picture, dressed from head to toe in designer clothes and captioned the post ‘Happy Birthday to me!’ Mompha senior wrote at the time;
“Owning your own home is one of the best feelings ever. It can’t be described in words, it can’t be quantified in money.”
“Home ownership is a feeling that makes life’s daily grind worth facing. It assures you that after all the ups and downs you have a place to go to…a place that will never judge you and will always invite you with open arms.”
“Congrats My Son on your New Home. Ur birthday gift from Daddy.”
From Mompha Junior’s Instagram posts, we can tell that he lives an extremely grand life, always dressed in designer clothes and shoes and wearing gold watches. Some of his flashy cars spotted to be parked in one of his grandeur homes in Dubai include a Bentley Flying Spur which costs around $220,000 and a Ferrari.

It is estimated that Mompha Junior’s net worth at just 10 years of age is $15 million, owning properties surpassing the billion mark.
His father is said to have made his fortune from a Bureau De Change business in Lagos before moving into investments.
But he is now facing criminal charges accused of laundering more than $10 million.
Earlier this year, a court heard claims by Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency that Mompha hid his wealth in luxury watches and other “movable assets”.
He was remanded in custody to await trial, and then released on £350,000 bail, according to local reports.
