Omani airline SalamAir is introducing cheap Nairobi to Muscat flights. The flights will cost 49.99 Omani Rial which converts to around Sh. 16,750. SalamAir will conduct the flights on a biweekly schedule.
The flights to and from Nairobi will mark the second destination in Africa that the airline is servicing after starting flights to and from Cairo, Egypt.
The new flights are expected to start taking from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Muscat International Airport from February 3, 2025.
According to the airline’s schedule, flights from the JKIA will take off every Monday while flights from Muscat will take off every Wednesday.
“Starting February 2025, SalamAir will operate direct flights from Muscat to Nairobi. Our flights will off passengers a convenient and affordable way to explore Nairobi’s vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, wildlife, and thriving economy,” said SalamAir’s chief executive officer Adrian Hamilton-Manns.

The airline currently operates a fleet of thirteen Airbus A320 planes. It services six domestic routes in Oman and another 37 cities in 18 countries including India, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Iraq, Thailand, and Kazakhstan.
