Co-Op post

Comedian Njugush and his wife Celestine Ndinda alias Wakavinya showcased to their fans just how big and beautiful the interior of their multi-million mansion is designed.

In an interview with KTN’s Art of Living Show, Celestine shared a glimpse of the interior decor of the living room and the dining room.

Their two-story mansion is located in Ruiru and the couple moved into it in December 28th, 2019 before its completion.

She said that they bought the land where the mansion is built towards the end of 2017. Building the house was a struggle due to the populous nature of cons among constructors in Ruiru.

They however succeeded with both their parents’ help. They built their mansion slowly, and initially, when they moved in, the family stayed downstairs, since the upper section of the house was yet to be complete.

Celestine further disclosed that there were no ceramic tiles at first, as the floor was only cemented. The house was cold, but she, Tugi and Njugush had to bear with that. This went on until she had her second child, and they changed the design of the house.

The mother of two flaunted their impressive living room, graceful dining area and kitchen, all rooms painted in different color shades. Wakavinye said that the house is mostly white-themed, stating “You can never go wrong with white”

In the living room, one could spot a large TV set mounted against the wall. Around the TV are several Christmas decorations and the living room is filled with magnificent grey furniture.

A classy sofa set is lodged in front of the big flat-screen television. Wakavinye revealed that her husband, Njugush is the one who chose the sofa set.

“He has such amazing taste,” she quipped.

The house has modern gypsum lights and gorgeous paintings on the walls. The curtain designs in the house are exceptional. She laughed when asked the price of the curtains.

All she had to say was “Hii Nairobi sikujua curtains ni expensive!”

In the dining area, she pointed to where each of them seat at the table while taking meals.

Asked whether they are one of those couples that have to take all meals together in the dining area, she said that they only gather at the table during extended family occasions such as December 23rd annually.

This is when they host most of the family members for Christmas eve celebrations at their home. Other times, they take their meals in the living room, or even at times from the bedroom.

When asked where they would be going to for Christmas, she said they would be traveling to their countryside.

“Ushago manze. Sisi lazima ushago. Tukachinje kambuzi…they say Christmas with family is the best.” she said.

She recalled one boring Christmas when they both decided to stay together in Nairobi.

“Tuliskia machozi…but with family, chapo, kuku (Hysterical laugh),” she said.

Because there was not enough time, Wakavinye did not display the upstairs of their home.

“Sharing is caring. Ukiwa na chapati mingi sana na jirani yako anakaa hana, share!” she emphasized.
