NYS Jobs: The National Youth Service has announced job vacancies with salaries of over Sh. 85,000. According to a notice that appeared in the newspapers, the NYS has 30 open vacancies it is seeking to fill.
The job vacancies range from the education to the health centre. Kenyas who may wish to apply for the jobs have been given until July 9 to make their application. Here are the NYS Jobs and their requirements:
Economist/Statistician – 2 Posts
Salary – Sh. 38,720 to Sh. 51,170 pm
Allowances
House – Sh. 16,500 pm
Commuter – Sh. 5,000 pm
Leave – Sh. 6,000 pa
Duties & Qualifications
Providing economic planning data; economic analysis and formulation of development strategies. Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Economics, or Economics and Mathematics or Upper Second-Class Honors in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Survey Techniques.
Senior Inspector (Mechanical – Motor Vehicle and Plant) – 3 posts
Salary – Sh. 31,270 to Sh. 41,260 pm
House – Sh. 10,000 pm
Commuter – Sh. 4,000 pm
Leave – Ksh4,000 pa
Duties & Qualifications
In charge of the repair of motor vehicle and plant machinery
Testing of vehicles and equipment before and after repair

Conducting proficiency test for drivers
Higher Diploma (Automotive) or other approved equivalent qualification.

Senior Inspector (Building) – 1 post

Clerk of work for building under construction
Assisting in the planning of supervision pf programs for a number of buildings

Supervision of all road construction and maintenance works
Preparation of work programs for all camps
Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering

Lecturer, Early Childhood Development Education – ECDE – 5 posts

Providing appropriate healthcare services
Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry
Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya
Valid practising license from Nursing Council of Kenya
Certificate in computer application
