It is heartbreak for Ferdinand Omanyala who was hoping to bag a medal at the World Athletics Championship 100 metres final in Budapest, Hungary.
Omanyala finished seventh out of eight in the final race that was won by American Noah Lyles.
Noah Lyles scored an impressive time of 9.83, and improvement from the 9.85 seconds that he scored in the semi finals.
Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo came in second. Tebogo became the first African man to win a world 100m medal.

Brit Zharnel Hughes took bronze, one thousandth of a second behind Tebogo. Hughes became the first British man to make the 100m podium at a World Championships for 20 years by claiming the bronze. He managed a time of 9.88 seconds.
