Over 217 permanent and pensionable job opportunities available at KFS, how to apply

The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has announced 218 permanent and pensionable job opportunities for Kenyans as it seeks to attain 30 percent tree cover by 2032.

In a statement on Tuesday, June 11, KFS said the deadline for the applications is Monday, July 1, 2024, at 5:00 PM.

“In order to strengthen its human resource capacity, the Service wishes to recruit qualified competent staff to fill the following vacant positions listed below on permanent and pensionable terms to enable it fulfill its mandate effectively and drive the country towards the attainment of 30% tree cover by 2032,” read the statement in part.

The vacant positions include; Pilot, Senior Officer-Business Development and Marketing, Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Engineer, Ecotourism officer, Assistant Wood Technologist, Legal Officer, Geo Data Base Officer, Lecturer, Dispatch Officer, ICT Assistant, and Medical Laboratory Technician.

Others are; Human Resource Management Assistants, Accounts Assistants, Corporate Communication Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Supply Chain Management Assistants, Survey Assistants, Inspector of Roads, Librarian Assistants, Office Administrator Assistants, Customer Care Assistants, Records Management Assistants, Drivers, Plant Operators, and Office Assistants.

Interested Kenyans are urged to visit the KFS website http://www.kenyaforestservice.org and select the Jobs tab to proceed with the online registration.

Successful online registrants will receive a notification email. The applicants are also required to Print and attach the notification email as the first page of the hard copy application.

“The hard copy application should clearly indicate reference number for the position applied for and attach current curriculum vitae (clearly indicating the mobile number, names, and contact details of three referees), copies of relevant testimonials, academic and professional certificates, and a copy of National identity card,” KFS explained.

Applications should be sent in a sealed envelope marked “Application for (Write Position and Reference)” addressed to the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kenya Forest Service, Karura, Off Kiambu Road, P.O. Box 30513 – 00100, G.P.O, NAIROBI, KENYA.
