Primary Teacher Salary: Following the successful recruitment of some, the Teachers Service Commission has started distributing appointment letters to the successful teachers.

The letters sent to primary school teachers shows that these new teachers have be put in the salary grade T Scale 5 of between Sh. 261,072 to Sh. 326,340 per year. This means that on monthly basis, these teachers will earn a minimum of Sh. 21,756.

“Your salary will be Ksh. Sh. 261,072 per year on the T-scale 5 (Sh. 261,072 to Sh. 326,340 per year). You will also be entitled to Automatic House Allowance, Commuter Allowance, and Hardship Allowance where applicable,” the TSC said in an appointment letter that was addressed to one of the successful teachers.
