The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a total of 745 job vacancies in various government agencies. The commission which is tasked with hiring on behalf of government agencies has set the deadline for interested candidates to apply as end of day on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
The new job vacancies are in 10 state departments which include the departments of Devolution, Fisheries, Shipping and Maritime, Public Works, Tourism, Northern Corridor Development, East African Community, Trade, Physical Planning and the Kenya Prisons Service.
Kenya Prisons Service has the highest number of vacancies which stand at 611 followed by the State Department of fisheries which had 40 vacancies.

The Superintendent of Prisons post recorded the highest vacancies which are at 340. It is followed by the Senior Superintendent of Prisons position which has 126 open vacancies. Assistant Commissioner of Prisons positions have come with 35 vacant slots while that of the Assistant Director of Fisheries and Blue Economy have 27 vacant positions.
How to apply for the PSC jobs
All first time users of the Online Recruitment and Selection system are required to register by providing their ID or a Passport number, surname, current email address and a password to access the system.
To apply for the advertised jobs, you will need to log into the system using the ID/Passport Number and the Password created above.
You must then ensure that the information pertaining to personal details, professional and academic qualifications, experience, membership to professional bodies, referees and any other relevant information is provided before submitting your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered for shortlisting.
The PSC has also recommended that interested applicants print and keep a copy of the Feedback Report (application summary) by clicking on the Report tab or Application Summary link on the Application Menu.
